  • I had to give this book 5 stars if only for the photos. This book is visually stunning, especially from the perspective of a photographer. The author talks about how to make each picture, both technically and aesthetically (which explains why it's a good photo). Showing and teaching really is not supposed to know much about photography, which is perfect for me. It also gives you complete lessons on how to use Photoshop to improve or even completely change your photos. I recommend this book to anyone interested in getting the most from their cameras and learn digital editing skills.

  • Unfortunately, as with all art, this has been done before. What contemporary artists have to do is the man for his own stereotype. Michael Freeman is trying to do this in his book, but not to make the comparison. Yes, your photos are beautiful, but the depth of the Bible is very shallow. I have the feeling that he is bored with his subject - in the moments that quickly recalls his previous book on light and lighting. No new information can not be found on the following links. The eye of the photographer by John Szarkowski, Charles H. Traub 's education of a photographer, and part of the subscription of John Ruskin. For Real McCoy, John Szarkowski Tome buy the same name. Hmmm. . . Maybe we should look fresh, new material instead of trying to expand the titles of works previously published. Nice try, but in the past. . .

  • Pictures good, but a waste of my money. I bought this book because I wanted to find a book that explains the thought process when taking pictures and understand why some images are composed in a certain way. I was more of a technical manual useless. Here's why: Pros: (1) The images of this book is very very good. (2) Nice Book Press. Bad: (1) For a book that speaks of a subjective topic as the composition of a friend, I think this book is very very very difficult to read. The author may be a good photographer, but the author tends to complicate the notions. It's like reading a technical manual. The author also introduces a lot of made up "technical" jargon. There are some sentences I have read several times and still do not understand. (2) The images of this book contains information on setting such as ISO, shutter speed, etc.. . The author explains how to compose the shot, but does not explain why he decided to use the aperture and shutter speed. (3) The issues are not logically organized or unreasonable. Just look at the content gives me a headache. Save your money and buy something else. I learned more useful photography tips from the following books: "Understanding Exposure" by Bryan Peterson "Lighting Photo Workshop" by Chris Bucher
