  • Janet and Susan never fails homour and laughter in our house. My kids ask me to read this or any of his other books every day. The characters are fantastic and the dialogue is to involve all of us, my two year old, 5 year old daughter and Mom and Dad:). This Christmas, I bought the cook-a-doodle-doo and The Little Red Hen, apron and a bag of flour for my nephews, so they can re-create the recipe for Gallo and his friends are in this book. sooo funny!

  • I am a teacher and I loved the book so I did a unit on it. The students laughed out loud when I read it. They were able to capture the pattern and loved to compare and contrast this story to popular legend of Little Red Hen. The text has been excellent and the pictures were darling. The pictures really captured the essence of the feeling that I'm sure the author wanted highlighted. Great!
