  • I've had limited experience creating web pages. Learning Web Design has made the job much easier. This book is very clearly written with good examples. I strongly recommend if you're starting or looking for a text for use in the classroom.

This book is not for beginners. I am a technology professional and have trouble learning more about web design this book. One improvement would be to eliminate all definitions that contain a term that has been defined and are completely unknown to the reader. Another solution would be to have a glossary. At least you could look unfamiliar concept. Small errors found that explain how to do things on your computer, do not know about Apple. The book's structure was too complicated.

  • I found the first chapters of interest, learn a few different branches that a person can go into web design, and the vocabulary of work "for different job roles and so on. But after a few chapters, such as reading, I feel like I'm sitting in a large university classroom can hear the "only true path right" to be a web designer. The tone of the book and much of the terminology used to describe things that leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I am an open type that wants to get into freelance web design, and every time someone tries to present "the way it should be fit, to discuss any topic that makes me, and I'm hardly willing to learn of them. I'm not looking to go out and work for a few large companies and businesses comply with web design methods "official" since it seems to be out there in this book. That said, there is much to learn here, and not a thick book. But I agree with a previous reviewer who said that the presentation of the ideas are a bit chaotic and incoherent. If you want to be taught this book may be worth taking pieces from here and there, but if you're a free-thinking person, but you may notice that this book seems to say the "only right way", instead of only lay the foundations of web design. The author is a professor very well in any major university, so if you are banned from the kind of "education" as often happens in such places, you probably do not waste your time with this. I'll check the table of contents and select the best information, but this is not a goalie what I say.
