Golf Breaks for Grooms-to-Be: Why you Should Consider a Stag Do on the Golf Course

For any males getting married, having a stag do is an integral part of the process leading up to the big day. A stag do traditionally marks the last big night out for the groom before tying the knot and it isn’t uncommon for such occasions to descend into drunken debauchery – often accompanied the morning after by a hangover-from-hell.

However, the traditional stag do of beer and curry is slowly becoming a thing of the past and nowadays stag parties are seeking alternative activities to mark the groom’s last ‘night’ of freedom away from the pub.

One such activity which has proven popular with increasing numbers of males is a stag do golf break, which is perfect for combining both the night-time element of the afore-mentioned beer and curry, but also provides an ideal way to blow away the cobwebs and grogginess of the previous night’s excesses.

Golf breaks which cater for stag do’s can be organised anywhere; whether it’s a Scottish golf break or one a little further afield, organising a golfing stag do needn’t break the bank and other activities can also be added into the break to create an altogether different stag experience. Such activities which can be added to a round or two of golf include go-karting, shooting, hunting and even a tour of the local hostelries from which to sample a range of beers, food and nightlife.

What’s more, in addition to golf and extra-curricular activities, accommodation is usually also included as part of the price with a stag do golf break; so no matter where the night may take the groom and his party, there’s no worry about finding a place to stay afterwards to lay one’s head and sleep off the booze.

And then, once the morning comes there’s the chance to do it all again and indulge in a little friendly competition while reminding each other of the antics of the night before! So if you’re planning a stag do for a mate anytime in the future, why not consider something a little different from the usual pub crawl? Grab those clubs instead, and head onto the golf course for a golf break with a stag do thrown in!
