The Solar Guide 2009: A simple practical guide to the use of electricity from solar panels and planning and installation of solar photovoltaic systems
  • As a newcomer to the solar energy, was concerned that this book would be too technical for me, but I was pleasantly surprised. I bought this book, along with another, and this is definitely the best description for his clear, detailed and overall readability. The book offers numerous tips from the outset, it is clear that the author knows what he's talking about. The book covers the field very well and I'm sure it will be able to install my solar system outside the power grid is only based on practical experience in this book. The authors of the site also contains lots of really useful information, including a calculator excellent project that should be the first port of call for anyone considering solar energy. Highly recommended.

  • "Solar Electricity Guide 2009" is a small book, but very full on solar energy. Many of the books in the solar energy is only spoken on the subject, but does not give any real substance. The Solar Guide 2009 "is different: it gives all the information you need, plain and simple English. Includes an introduction to solar energy, solar electric system design (solar energy calculation, the topography of its site, and the cost of components, detailed design, installation, repair, system maintenance, etc. There are 2 parts (10 chapters), a very detailed "Content" so you can find the information you need quickly and very useful appendices: information on the support site of the table similar to the conditions of insolation and latitude Table and elevation of the sun for most if not all cities in North America and Britain (which may also find the small town in California where I live at the table), typical home energy requirements and machinery and office equipment, information on living off the grid and solar projects, and a useful index in the final.
